Before you write

Please include your device model, operating-system version, aud-io version, and a short description of what happened. Screenshots are helpful. Please do not send music files, payment details or API keys.

Getting started

Use Settings ▸ Add Music to choose music files from the Files picker.
Import your own music or connect Apple Music with your own active subscription. Apple Music integration already exists in aud-io; local playback does not require a streaming subscription.
Your library, playlists and listening history stay on your device.

Purchases

aud-io Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. For iPhone and iPad purchases, use Restore Purchases in the app with the same Apple Account; Apple handles those payments and refunds. Direct aud-io for Mac purchases use Lemon Squeezy checkout. For help with a Mac order, email support with your order email and receipt number.

Optional AI features

App Store editions: AI Mixes, Radio and Librarian use Apple Intelligence without a Gemini API key. On-device AI requires iOS 26.5, iPadOS 26.5 or macOS 26.5 or later, an Apple Intelligence-compatible device, Apple Intelligence enabled in system Settings and its models downloaded and ready. Supported devices include iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, iPhone 16 models or later, iPad mini (A17 Pro), and iPad and Mac models with M1 or later. Apple's supported languages, regions and feature availability also apply; see its requirements for the full current device list.

Private Cloud Compute: supported App Store builds can use Apple's cloud models for Mixes, Radio and Librarian on iOS 27, iPadOS 27 or macOS 27 or later. This requires internet access, Online Features enabled and your explicit opt-in to Use Private Cloud Compute in aud-io's AI settings. Requests can send your prompt and selected library metadata to Apple, but not your audio files or file locations. If the service is unavailable or its daily limit is reached, aud-io tries the on-device model where available.

Direct Mac: optional Google Gemini AI uses your own API key, with AI and Online Features enabled. The key is stored in your device Keychain; requests go directly to Google. This edition does not use Apple Intelligence or Private Cloud Compute. Older App Store versions may also use Gemini; never email an API key to support.

Local music playback works offline. Apple Music streaming, online AI and other connected features require an internet connection. Apple Music also requires your own subscription.

aud-io requires no aud-io account and has no advertising or telemetry. Read the full Privacy Policy for details about local playback, Apple Music, optional online lookups, Apple Intelligence and PCC in App Store editions, and Gemini in the direct Mac edition and older versions.
