aud-io is a local-first music player for the music you own, built natively for iPhone, iPad and Mac. It is designed for listeners who maintain their own libraries and want fast importing, private on-device organisation and a focused listening experience. But for those who don’t want to leave streaming access to their Apple Music library behind, aud-io also optionally supports Apple Music streaming using your existing account. aud-io is truly the best of both worlds.

Three native apps. One library.
- On the App Store since 30 July 2026. Announced 12 August 2026. Universal iPhone and iPad app, iOS 26 or later.
- Native Mac app on the Mac App Store, macOS 15 or later, plus a separately notarized direct edition from aud-io.app.
- Free on every platform. Import, organise and play the whole local library at up to 256 kbps.
- Pro is a one-time purchase. US$14.99 universal unlock across iPhone and iPad, US$19.99 on the Mac App Store, US$14.99 direct. No subscription.
- No account, no tracking. No aud-io-hosted music server, no advertising, no cross-app tracking.
- Apple Music alongside. Available on both tiers with the listener's own subscription.
- Beyond the library. On Mac, aud-io imports CDs and connects to a NAS. AirPlay output, and aud-io for iPhone works as a remote for aud-io for Mac anywhere in the house.
